With the release of Hunter Hayes’ ‘Encore’ edition of his self-titled debut album (the deluxe edition in laymen’s terms), has rocketed the country pop singer back to the top of Top Country Albums, while the lead single off the record, ‘I Want Crazy’ is now at #3 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs. If that wasn’t enough, it’s now also at #7 on Country Airplay. Leading that chart is Jake Owen with ‘Anywhere With You’, which is down to #8 on Hot Country Songs and #22 on Country Digital Songs.
#1 on Country Digital Songs is Florida Georgia Line, with ‘Cruise’ (featuring Nelly), that is also #1 on Hot Country Songs for yet another week. ‘Here’s To the Good Times’ is at #2 on Top Country Albums. This duo seem unstoppable, even by Blake Shelton, who remains at #2 on both charts this week with ‘Boys Round Here’ (featuring Pistol Annies). The song has dropped down to #4 on Country Airplay, however, after being last week’s #1. His album, ‘Based On A True Story...’, also stays at #3 this week. Darius Rucker’s ‘Wagon Wheel’ is holding out too, down to #4 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs while ‘True Believers’ is at #4 on Top Country Albums.
Luke Bryan also looks set for another radio #1, as this week he’s at #2 on Country Airplay with ‘Crash My Party’. The track is at #5 on Hot Country Songs, and seems to be the first time in its climb up the charts that it has fallen a place. It is #6 on Country Digital Songs. Brad Paisley is also doing well, at #3 on Country Airplay with ‘Beat This Summer’, rising to #9 on Hot Country Songs but down to #23 on Country Digital Songs, while ‘Wheelhouse’ is at a modest #13 on Top Country Albums. Then there’s Tim McGraw, whose announcement of a new single (‘Southern Girl’), is probably well-timed, as ‘Highway Don’t Care’ (featuring Taylor Swift and Keith Urban) falls again to #6 on Hot Country Songs, #8 on Country Airplay and Country Digital Songs, while ‘Two Lanes of Freedom’ falls all the way to #20 on Top Country Albums.
On the up is Randy Houser with ‘Runnin’ Outta Moonlight’, #7 on Hot Country Songs, #9 on Country Digital Songs and #12 on Country Airplay, while Carrie Underwood’s ‘See You Again’ takes a dip to #10 on Hot Country Songs, #11 on Country Airplay and #15 on Country Digital Songs. There are plenty of new releases on the chart this week, but they’re mostly in the wake of The Voice ending and in mind of the release of ‘The Voice: The Complete Season 4 Collection’, which lands at #6. As a result, Danielle Bradbery is at #20 on Hot Country Songs and #5 on Country Digital Songs with ‘Born To Fly’, #10 on the same chart with ‘Maybe It Was Memphis’ (a re-entry), while third-placed The Swon Brothers are at #12 with ‘I Can’t Tell You Why’. Blake Shelton’s duet with Danielle, ‘Timber, I’m Falling In Love’, sits just below it at #13, while the LoCash Cowboys break The Voice trend by having their self-titled album hit #25.
Honorable mentions go to Brett Eldredge, The Band Perry, Zac Brown Band, Kip Moore, Brantley Gilbert, Tyler Farr, Easton Corbin, Lady Antebellum, Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert.
