Today, Vevo exclusively unveils the new music video for Parmalee’s latest hit, “Close Your Eyes” across all of its platforms — Vevo.com, mobile/tablet and TV apps and Vevo on YouTube. “Close Your Eyes” is the follow-up release to Parmalee’s multi-week #1 gold certified smash, “Carolina” off the band’s critically acclaimed debut album for Stoney Creek Records, Feels Like Carolina.
“It’s all about that first kiss,” says Matt Thomas, lead singer for Parmalee. “ I think everybody remembers where they were with that special girl or guy and they went in for that first kiss.”
Award-winning director Wes Edwards (“Drunk On A Plane,” “Night Train,” “Yeah,” etc.) sets the scene of a nostalgic summer day in the back roads of Nashville, complete with a 400 ft. homemade backwoods slip-n-slide, “fireflies poppin’ like the Fourth of July” and a late night bonfire party, all leading up to that perfect moment to lean in for a kiss– Parmalee style.
