Garth Brooks has released his fair share of singles over the span of his mega-successful career. Over 50 to be exact. However, there are several songs he wishes would've made the cut. And one in particular.
Just which song does he wish woulda' been released as a single? Garth explains...
“Alabama Clay, off the first record,” Brooks tells Indiana radio station WKDQ. “We still play it live. I get so many requests for ‘Alabama Clay.’ Love it.”
That song is actually from way back on Brooks’ 1989 eponymous debut album. Four singles were released from that disc: Much Too Young (to Feel This Damn Old), If Tomorrow Never Comes, Not Counting You and The Dance, all of which hit the Top 10. If Tomorrow Never Comes and The Dance both reached the numero uno spot.
“I’ve probably got a list of five or six of them that could probably fit that bill,” The country star said.
So there you have it....even a huge hit maker like Garth Brooks has things he wishes he would've done in his career. Although...the way things turned out kinda worked out, too.
