With a rocker background I knew Cassadee would nail her cover of Bon Jovi's Bed Of Roses, but what I didn't expect was how she managed to do SO much justice to the song and make it her own! The song boasts a country arrangement. Match that with her vocals and it's a smash.

Back in 2013 we were graced with miss Cassadee Pope's debut country album. And while the album produced the Platinum hit, "Wasting All These Tears", it still left many people hungry for more intimate songs from the vocal power house.
Well...she has revealed in a new interview that she already has 30 songs written for her new album. That's an impressive number!
When speaking to 101.9 The Wolf, the "Wasting All These Tears" singer said that she has a lot to talk about and is working hard on delivering the best single possible.

Cassadee Pope made sure no tears were wasted by her fans as she took time to go through her fan mail AND respond to some of them on Twitter. How sweet can she be?!
The country starlet had this to say:
Read a ton of fan mail by the tree last night. Thank you for being the best fans & friends I could ever ask for!
Which was pretty amazing as it was, but these individually catered responses really took the cake for me:
Ugh. Love her. It's these little things that mean the world to people and it's so refreshing to see that Cassadee gets it.

This couldn't be more fitting that today is Wednesday because Cassadee Pope is definitely our #WomanCrushWednesday after seeing how STUNNING she looked on the American Country Countdown Awards Red Carpet.
WOWZA. The only thing hotter than that look is her...voice. (Get your mind out of the gutter...)

Well, not exactly....but kinda. Cassadee Pope, the band Cracker and Jeff Austin were scheduled to perform at the Mill Point Park in Hampton but the promoter, Flat 5 Productions, cancelled them due to low attendance for the first half of the series...which Lonestar was a part of.
The odd thing was the executive director had told the local newspaper the first shows' attendance had been "phenomenal" so maybe there was some internal conflict or something going on that caused the cancel? Who knows. All I know is it sucks for the Cassadee Pope fans that had planned to see her sing live because it's truly a treat! But there's always next time?
I'd be pretty happy just hanging out with Randy Houser but throw in our buddy Kenny from Big & Rich and the beautiful Cassadee Pope and Jana Kramer and now you've got what looks like a fun night! But to Randy it was just him hanging with his "frandzzz"
Good thing I don't have to pick a favorite outta the bunch because I love them all!
At her August 29th show in Atlantic City, Cassadee debuted a brand new song titled, "Like There's No Tomorrow."
As expected, her fans really dug it! And I think it's a pretty solid tune myself. Of course, I thought the same thing about her last two singles and they didn't take flight like they should've. But maybe this little tune will do the trick!

With CMA nominations out, the Female Vocalist category was getting some attention. Mostly because Taylor Swift was nominated again and people argued the age old argument that she isn't even country.(Side note, the nominations were before her official announcement of a pop album) but what this really brought to attention was the fact that Taylor was most likely thrown in there because of the lack of other options. But here's the thing, we DO have options. We have lots of options.
Two popular female country singers that didn't make the CMA cut were Danielle Bradbery and c. Of course they haven't seen much radio hype or chart success as of late, but they've proved their worth with some solid vocals and songs. I've often wondered if their stigma of being "young" country women has hurt them.

So two years after she won the Voice and left the rock group Hey Monday, Cassadee Pope just got off tour with one of country music's biggest names...Tim McGraw. That's a pretty big accomplishment for someone who didn't grow up with deep country roots. But have no fear, this songtress is grateful for what Nashville has done for her! She told Rolling Stone:
"I feel like the Nashville has really embraced me with open arms," she says. "I was a little worried at first; you know everybody knows about my immediate past, which is rock music. But everyone is coming to find out that I’ve been singing country music my whole life."
She was also quick to thank Blake Shelton and say she knows she wouldn't be here without him. One thing is for sure...we are certainly glad she's in country music!

Cassadee Pope is currently on tour with Tim McGraw on his Sundown Heaven Town Tour, so it's not surprising that they duet together during the concert, but this is surprisingly nice.
Tim and the season 3 winner of "The Voice" performed in Tampa, Florida last Saturday and performed a new song called Diamond Rings and Old Bar Stools for the very first time live. The song is from Tim's upcoming new album.

So, so, SO happy that Tim seems to be gravitating back to his more classic sound rather than continuing on with the thump, thump, thumping stuff he's been doing the last couple of years.
