Hangnails hurt like a bitch, I think we can all agree on that, but do they hurt enough to have surgery?
Apparently LeAnn Rimes thinks they do.

LeAnn Rimes has had her fair share of mouth problems (Yeah, I could enter a joke here but am holding back) over the last couple of years, and even sued her dentist at one point.
And it looks like she's still having problems with that area of her body.
On Saturday, LeAnn took the stage at the Choctaw Casino in Oklahoma but had to cut the show short due to jaw pain.
After the show, she tweeted:
Oklahoma!!!! I love you so much! I'm sorry for no encore. I had my jaw pop out of place & I can't hear out of my left ear. #tmjsucks

I can definitely feel her pain ... vicariously anyway.

Let's talk about cheating, shall we?
Cheating is the ugly side of love. Whether you're the cheater or the cheated, infidelity is a painful and ugly thing to deal with.
It's also pretty dang common. Probably far more common than most of us care to think about, especially if you're like me and currently in a committed relationship.
But what about if you're famous? Is cheating thought about differently when it's the famous dealing with it? Is it more accepted or even more expected? And more importantly, is there a double standard for cheaters based on whether they're a man or a woman?
I ask this because there seems to be a huge double standard going on in country music as we speak and it fascinates me to no end.
After more than three decades together, iconic rock ‘n roll band MÖTLEY CRÜE announced today their Final Tour and the band’s ultimate retirement. The announcement was solidified when the band signed a formal Cessation Of Touring Agreement, effective at the end of 2015, in front of global media in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
In conjunction with the tour, Big Machine Records, home to country superstars such as Taylor Swift, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts has teamed up in a joint venture with MÖTLEY RECORDS and ELEVEN SEVEN MUSIC for the summer 2014 release of a Country Music Tribute To MÖTLEY CRÜE. Big Machine Label Group president and CEO, Scott Borchetta, is among the legion of Country Music fans who love MÖTLEY CRÜE. The country tribute album will show off the band’s quality songwriting with these fresh takes on their classic hit songs. Among the artists already confirmed to be featured on the country tribute album are LeAnn Rimes, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert, Justin Moore, Eli Young Band and Cassadee Pope. More artists will be unveiled as the album nears a release date this summer. Borchetta says of the collaboration, "I have been a not-so-secret Crue fan from the beginning. When manager Chris Nilsson called with the idea for a tribute album on Big Machine Records it was an immediate 'yes' from me! Our album will highlight just how great the Motley Crue song catalog is. At the end of the day, that's what will stand the test of time."

In typical LeAnn Rimes fashion(pun intended), she showed up to the Carol King Tribute with husband Eddie Cibrian and was prepared cause a stir with her dress choices. Yes that is plural. LeAnn wore a purple dress with a plunging neck line for the red carpet, which wasn't so bad. Her dress for her performance was a little more on the risque side. Although, once she started singing with Steven Tyler, your attention was quickly moved to her vocal abilities. The 'Blue' singer belted out notes and brought some major soul to her performance. A not-so subtle reminder of why she is famous in the first place. The girl can sing. She also was respectful enough to bow to the legend that is Carol King.

Oh this is sad.
This afternoon there was a fiery plane crash at the Aspen, Colorado airport. The strange thing is there happened to be a couple of celebrities at the airport at the time, including LeAnn Rimes.
Comedian Kevin Nealon was the first celebrity to tweet about the accident saying: "Horrible plane crash here at Aspen airport. Exploded into flames as it was landing. I think it was a private jet."
"Fire truck and ambulances were on the scene within minutes," Nealon continued. "I don't believe there are any survivors."
LeAnn, who was also in the area, said: "So sad! Horrible plane crash we just saw happen at the Aspen airport."
LeAnn was in Aspen for New Year's and has been tweeting photos of her vacation since the last days of 2013. Definitely a sad way to end a vacation. My prayers to everyone involved.
Here's a view of the accident that a local news channel tweeted.

Country music absolutely thrived this year, and that doesn't include what the mainstream regurgitated out to the masses. No, there will be no Bro-Country records in this "Best Of" piece. In fact, what many of this list's artists are doing is what the mainstream should be doing. When it comes to remarkable storytellers and vocalists, you have to look a lot further than corporate-held radio to get a firm grip on compelling stories of love, loss, heartache and even happiness.
LeAnn Rimes' very public life in the press drives me a little loony sometimes, but I do love the vintage look of her Christmas card that Life&Style shared this morning.
It has a sort of '60s holiday advertising vibe. Cute.
Someone else who had a super-cute card this year is Kelly Clarkson who shared the picture on Twitter.

LeAnn Rimes may not have won any awards at last night's American Country Awards, but the girl was the talk of the evening after this amazing tribute to Patsy Cline.
Wow.
You can read the full list of winners at the show after the jump.

No matter what your personal feelings about LeAnn Rimes might be, there's no denying the girl can sing like nobody's bidness.
Check out the fun new animated video for her song Gasoline and Matches featuring Rob Thomas.
Update: According to Entertainment Weekly, this video was shot entirely on iPhones and was directed by Ian Padgham, someone who is well known for his work on Vine.
“When we saw Ian’s stop motion work on Vine, the first thing I noticed was this crazy sick sense of humor wrapped around a lot of heart and warmth,” Rimes said of Ian.
Pretty cool.
