I'd be pretty happy just hanging out with Randy Houser but throw in our buddy Kenny from Big & Rich and the beautiful Cassadee Pope and Jana Kramer and now you've got what looks like a fun night! But to Randy it was just him hanging with his "frandzzz"
Good thing I don't have to pick a favorite outta the bunch because I love them all!
Brad Paisley's "Country Nation Tour" rocked the DC area on Sept, 20 2014 at Jiffy Lube Live. Opening acts Leah Turner and Randy Houser started the show off right.
Leah Turner took the stage and I immediately was swept away. She is gorgeous, sassy and talented..everything country music women should be made of. She performed "Take The Keys" as well as "Here's My Finger." Her vocals were strong and she had amazing stage presence. She also did her own version of the Dixie Chick's "Cowboy Take Me Away." I thought she owned it and made it sound unique. I am a fan.
Randy Houser was a powerhouse. He opened with "Boots On" and had massive energy. He is vocally gifted and talent literally explodes from his veins. He performed his latest radio singles "How Country Feels" and "Goodnight Kiss." Also his newest single "Cowboy." Randy Houser has one of the best voices in country music. His range is incredible. He did his job as the opening act and then some.
Brad Paisley's set was immaculate. Everything from the stage set up to the graphics, it was pretty awesome. He opened with "Moonshine In The Trunk" which is a track from his latest album which is titled Moonshine In The Trunk. During "Check You For Ticks" Randy Houser joined Brad on stage. It was the last show of the tour, so some pranking was in store for everyone involved. Brad performed all his #1 singles that we all love, however, my favorite moment was when he performed "Perfect Storm." It's nice to see that side of him, we usually see the goofy, prank pulling Brad. His new album is one of his best and to see him perform that song live was intense and powerful. Also, Brad is a guitar genius. His guitar playing skills are on another level, they belong on another planet. The entire show was entertaining and it stayed to that degree of non stop entertainment.

Holy cowbells! Now this is out of the blue and sad.
The Country Vibe is reporting that Randy Houser and his wife of two years, Jessa Lee Yantz, are divorcing.
The pair, who married in September of 2011 in the Dominican Republic, have a 2-year-old son together. There's no word on why the pair have decided to divorce, but according to The Country Vibe the pair have already tried a trial separation.
So sad, but with a child to think about hopefully things will stay calm and amicable.

Chart-topping country artist Randy Houser’s fresh new music video for his latest smash single “Goodnight Kiss” premieres exclusively across CMT platforms today. Directed by Wes Edwards, the video was filmed at the historic Fontanel Mansion in Nashville and is the grand finale to a trilogy following the development of young love in couples who also starred in Houser’s previous videos for hit singles “How Country Feels” and “Runnin’ Outta Moonlight.” Both videos topped CMT's "Hot 20 Countdown" in 2013.
Well folks, it’s happened. Florida Georgia Line have surpassed the record for number of consecutive weeks spent at #1 on Hot Country Songs with ‘Cruise’. They are the all-time record holders (Jason Scott, one of our writers, had a rant about this today). In addition, ‘Cruise’ is #1 on Country Digital Songs, and their album ‘Here’s To The Good Times’ is still #1 on Top Country Albums. Their latest single, ‘Round Here’ is at #6 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and #12 on Country Airplay, while ‘Get Your Shine On’ remains popular at #20 on Country Digital Songs and #22 on Hot Country Songs. Basically, in a short space of time, they’ve taken over the genre.

Since her run on "American Idol"s seventh installment, Kristy Lee Cook has been attempting to break through that ever-present female barrier. After releasing "15 Minutes of Shame," the lead off single from 2008's "Why Wait" record, she was soon dropped by Arista Nashville in December of that same year. Kristy resurfaced in 2010 when she signed to Broken Bow Records -- label home to Jason Aldean and Dustin Lynch. Last year, Kristy released the beautiful "Airborne Ranger Infantry," a song inspired by poems written by her father, Larry Cook, during his time in the Vietnam War. Despite not gaining traction at radio, she continued to refine her songwriting and is now back with a brand new single.
Partnering up with labelmate Randy Houser (he's signed to Broken Bows' Stoney Creek division), the two tackle a syrupy sweet ballad "Wherever Love Goes," off Randy's latest "How Country Feels" album.

The Band Perry are the stars of this week’s chart roundup, as they can add another radio #1 to the list with ‘DONE.’. Elsewhere they’re not managing to break the monopoly on the top 10, however, falling one place to #11 on Hot Country Songs and all the way to #21 on Country Digital Songs. ‘Pioneer’ rises 4 places to #7 on Top Country Albums. Florida Georgia Line naturally head this aforementioned monopoly with ‘Cruise’, breaking record after record with their run at #1 across Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs that continues this week, with their album ‘Here’s To The Good Times’, also holding out at the top. Their newest single ‘Round Here’ is at #12 on Country Airplay, #7 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs, and their previous single ‘Get Your Shine On’ is still performing, now at #20 on Hot Country Songs and Country Digital Songs.
