Brad Paisley extends Country Nation World Tour into 2015

Earlier this month, Brad Paisley announced the extension of his Country Nation World Tour presented by KRAFT Cheese. Now fans will have the chance to catch him on tour through March 2015.

The last leg of the tour will kick off on January 17 in Morgantown, WV - Paisley’s home state. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Nov. 7. Special guests on the tour will be Stoney Creek Records family band Parmalee and Arista Nashville recording duo The Swon Brothers.

The Swon Brothers perform with the PS22 Chorus

The Swon Brothers have been busy lately traveling around in support of their debut self-titled album (which is out today) and decided to stop in to visit the acclaimed PS22 Chorus of fifth-grade students from the PS22 elementary school in Staten Island, New York.   

PS22 Chorus Director Gregg Breinberg and the children spent two hours outside of normal school hours to ask questions of the Swons and rehearse a performance together of the song “Pretty Beautiful,” one highlight of the duo’s self-titled Arista Nashville debut album, releasing October 14.  

 

In the wake of their visit, Colton Swon shared, “It was such a great time performing with the PS22 Chorus.  They’re so talented and really bring music to life in such a unique way.”  

 

Zach Swon added, “We’ve been on the run so much lately that it was great to have the chance to slow down for a few hours and share that pure, simple love of music through the eyes of these incredible kids. It was just an amazing experience.”

The Swon Brothers discuss debut album, Carrie Underwood & Lady Antebellum collaboration: Exclusive

The Swon Brothers offer up their best summer-y (and romantic) anthem with their debut single "Later On," a sweeping pop-rocker that speaks to radio's target demo. As the lead-in to their highly-anticipated post-Voice debut record, Colton and Zach are certainly making their mark, as the song itself sits just outside the Top 20 at both Billboard (Country Airplay) and Mediabase (Country Aircheck).

"It’s unreal man. Golly. We’re just two blessed, very grateful guys," Colton shares with NashvilleGab, exclusively of their success so far. "It couldn’t get any better. We’re just enjoying it, man, just trying to take time to soak it in. Everybody tells us, ‘just take time to breathe and think about what’s going on.’"

The Swon Brothers joke about "The Voice" being fixed

A couple of weeks back, The New York Daily News posted excerpts from the "secret" contract that NBC has with contestants on The Voice, which suggest that the show could fix the results.

The Swon Brothers were once on the show, so we asked them what the contracts really said.

Aside from not being able to understand the contract (who can with all that legal mumbo jumbo?) The Swon Brothers figure the show really is rigged, but for a funny reason and not what you're probably thinking.

The Swon Brothers to Perform on the Today Show as Part of NBC’s Coverage of the Winter Olympics

Arista Nashville recording duo and NBC The Voice Season 4 finalists The Swon Brothers will be headed for Sochi and the excitement of the 2014 Olympic Winter Games, where the duo will perform their debut single, “Later On,” to be televised as part of NBC’s Today show live Olympic coverage on February 14.  The duo will also participate in additional non-televised NBC events while in Sochi.   

The Swon Brothers are currently at work on their Arista Nashville debut album, helmed by multi-million-selling producer Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood, Sara Evans).  Featuring “Later On,” the album is set for release later this year.  “Later On” is currently available for sale here,  http://smarturl.it/lateron, with an official country radio airplay impact date of March 3.
