Garth Brooks' daughter would like everyone to stop asking her for concert tickets now

Being the kid of a famous person must be great, right? Money, cars, jewels, mansions, butlers with lovely British accents, private jets, dinners in fancy restaurants with hard-to-pronounce names, zero college debt, red carpet events, famous friends, tiny dogs in over-sized purses. 

Oh sure, the life of a celebrity offspring sounds fabulous to us normal folk. Dig a little deeper, however, and you'll find that having a famous parent and/or step-parent can be downright annoying, especially when their shows are the hottest ticket around. 

   

Just ask Garth's daughter, August, who took to the internet a while back to post this rant (her words) about people in her life who really, really want tickets to Garth and Trisha's shows. 

August, you may remember, is Garth's daughter who gave birth to his first grandchild last year.  

Well dang, scratching Garth's kids off my must-befriend-for-free-tickets list. Time to work on #2 on my list ... Tim and Faith's girls

Garth Brooks announces next city on World Tour

For the first time in 17 years, Garth will be returning to the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma to perform. 

According to a release put out this morning, Garth Brooks along with his wife Trisha Yearwood will perform there January 15 -17, 2015. The show dates and times are:

Thursday, January 15, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
Friday, January 16, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 7:00 p.m.

Tickets go on sale Friday, November 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. and, according to The BOK Center, there's an eight ticket limit. 

So suck it resellers. 

Tickets can only be purchased at TicketMaster with the price of tickets (including all tax and fees) being $70.

Trisha Yearwood singing the national anthem at the World Series will make you proud to be an American

Trisha Yearwood performed the Star-Spangled Banner to kick off game 1 of the World Series today and totally knocked it out of the ballpark. 

Seriously, this is how it's done. Amazing.  

So how did Trisha gear up for her big performance? She said during a pre-game interview, "I just breathe."

Little Big Town will also be performing the national anthem this week during the World Series on Friday in San Francisco before game 3. 

Little Big Town and Trisha Yearwood to perform at this week's World Series

Well it's not the Super Bowl, but Trisha Yearwood and Little Big Town will be playing a HUGE sporting event soon - the World Series.

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Trisha along with Little Big Town, American Idol season 11 winner Phillip Phillips, and Carlos Santana will all step up to the mound and perform the national anthem on various days of the World Series starting this week. 

Trisha will kick things off before Game 1 today, October 21, in Kansas City, Missouri, with Little Big Town performing The Star-Spangled Banner in San Francisco on Friday before Game 3.

The games will air on Fox at 8 p.m. ET.

Trisha Yearwood's recently revealed album cover for her upcoming "PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit" has really hit it out of the ballpark.

The singer revealed the artwork on her Facebook on Tuesday. 

I'm excited for you to be the first to see the PrizeFighter cd cover!

The song "PrizeFighter" describes for me the fight we all fight, whatever it is. It's the courage to get up every day and give it your best shot, no matter the odds. For me, I learned that strength from my mama, Gwen. She went toe to toe with breast cancer, and though she lost her battle, she fought every step of the way with grace, dignity, humor, and love. She's my prizefighter.

Whatever your battle, whoever your prizefighter is, my hope is that you draw strength from this important message.

The album's called PrizeFighter: Hit After Hit because in life, you're going to throw some punches and you’re going to take some, but it’s the entire fight that defines who you are.

Besides the cover being absolutely stunning, there's also something a little extra special about it ... the gloves. 

According to USA Today, the gloves were worn by Sylvester Stallone during the movie Rocky. 

“When I heard PrizeFighter, the song, for the first time, I kept seeing Rocky Balboa climbing those steps in Philly, with the gloves raised,” says Yearwood.

Having met Stallone, the singer decided to ask the actor for a pair of his gloves from one of the movies — though, she said, she might not be able to return them.

“If everything goes well, those gloves will end up in the Country Music Hall of Fame,” Yearwood says.

“He said the only thing he required was a copy of the CD.”

How cool is that?

Some official news about the one and only Trisha Yearwood!

It has been a little while since we've been able to get excited about new music from Trisha Yearwood. But on the coat tails of her amazing husband Garth, she has given us all a reason to get excited! Yup! That's right...NEW music is coming guys!  Trisha made the announcement that she's releasing a new album titled "PrizeFighter,"  the title taken from a new track she found inspiring as she contemplated relaunching her music career at 49.  

"I kind of feel like the odds are not in my favor, so the song is really motivating in that way because it's just kind of like you've got to fight, you've got to fight for what you want," Yearwood said.

She and Brooks begin their tour Sept. 4 in Chicago, where they'll play 11 concerts — "We call it the freak show right now" — and she'll be taping new episodes of her show's fifth season between sets while on the road.

All I can say is....AHHH!!!

A few years ago I made the accidental discovery that a very fresh-faced Matthew McConaughey had starred in the video for Trisha Yearwood's Walkaway Joe. I know I wasn't the first person to realize this fact, but it was definitely news to me at the time. 

Skip ahead a few years and the actor is now an Oscar winner and Trisha is proud of the man who sexied up that early video.
